Exporting Report to Web Document

Each report, created in ELMA, can be saved as a web-document.

Saving a report as a web-document

To save a report as a web-document, generate the report and click Document – Save (fig. 1).

A document preview page will open in a new tab (fig. 2).

The preview page contains several units: Document, Parameters and a table with the report.
Document unit
Name * – enter a name for the new document. This field is required.
Folder – select a folder to save the document to. By default, the My Documents folder is selected. To change the folder, click , select the required folder in the opened window and click Select. To clear this field, click .
Parameters unit. When you click on the name of this unit, a form for specifying parameters opens.
To save the report as a web-document, click Save in the toolbar. After that, the page of the created web-document will open (fig. 3).

Save the report as a web-document and open its page.
When you click Print or , a drop-down menu appears, where you can select:
  • Print current page – print the current page of the report.
Close the current browser tab without saving the document with the report.

Saving a report as a web-document and sending it for approval or acquaintance

Each report, created in ELMA, can be saved as a web-document and immediately sent for approval or acquaintance. This feature is available only if you have the ECM+ application activated.
To do this, generate a report and click Document – Save and Send (fig. 4).

A document preview page will open in a new browser tab (fig. 5).

The document preview page includes several units: Document, Send, Parameters and a table with the report.
Document unit
Name * – enter a name for the new document. This field is required.
Folder – select a folder to save the document to. By default, the My Documents folder is selected. To change the folder, click , select the required folder in the opened window and click Select. To clear this field, click .
Send Document unit
Subject * – subject of the document approval or acquaintance task. This field is required.
Due Date – task due date.
To * select the task executor. This field is required.
Manage permissions automatically – if you check this box, the approver will be automatically assigned permissions to edit the document and the reviewer - to view/load.
Parameters unit. When you click on the name of this unit, a form for specifying report generation parameters opens.
To save the report as a web-document and send it for approval or acquaintance, click the respective button (For approval, For acquaintance), in the toolbar of the preview page.

When you click Print or , a drop-down menu appears, where you can select:
  • Print current page – print the current page of the report.
Close the current browser tab without saving the document with the report.
Note, that a web-document is generated according to the print layout.
If the print layout is configured in Razor and the entire report is on one page, then all the data on this page will be in the web-document. If the print layout is configured in Razor and the report is on several page, then only the data from the current page will be in the report.
If the print layout is configured in FastReport, then regardless of the number of pages all the data will be added to the web-document.
