This tab of the process page lists all the participants of the process. By default, this list includes the elements of the organizational structure and user groups according to the swimlanes of the process. The name of the swimlane, to which an element or a user group belongs is specified in parentheses next to the element's or group's name. This list can also include users that do not belong to any swimlanes and do not execute process tasks.
You can select the role of each participant by ticking the corresponding checkbox:
Owner - is an employee who is fully responsible for the whole process. This person is not only responsible for the result or product, of the process, but also for the progress of the process and the satisfaction of customers involved. You can select the owner from swimlane executors or add this person manually from the organizational structure. The following organizational structure elements can be selected as a process owner: job position or a group of employees. Each process has only one owner (one employee or a group of employees).
Participant - executor of a swimlane. Participants will see all the process instances in the My Processes section in ELMA Web Application. All executors of swimlanes are by default participants.
Informed - employee who receives organizational information about the process. This employee does not work with the process in ELMA, but is included in process documentation and process policies.
Supervisor - user who controls the execution of the process. A supervisor has privileges to view all the process details. Usually, the company's executives act as supervisors. There may be any number of supervisors in a process.
Apart from the roles specified in the responsibility matrix, users are automatically assigned to roles in Web Application:
Initiator - user who launched the process instance.
Responsible - user who is responsible for the outcome of the process. By default, the Initiator is assigned as Responsible. The Responsible user can be changed according to the swimlane settings or manually in Web Application.
To open the context menu, right click on a participant's name. You can also select a user in the list and then right-click on any free space. The result will be the same (Fig. 2).
