To make a public channel active, go to Administration – Basic Application – Public Channels, open the channel page, click Edit, select No in the Archive field and click Save (fig. 1).

After you have saved the settings, the channel will be moved to the Common public channels folder and will become active. Users with permission to view the channel will be able to open it, view the messages and add new messages.
