Public Channels are intended for group chats between the company's employees. Each channel has its subject.
The system administrator creates public channels and grants access to them. The access permissions are assigned in Administration – Basic Applications – Public Channels.
Fig. 1 illustrates an example of the Public Channels Settings page.

By default, this page displays the following items:
Public Channels – this page allows creating and editing public channels, and assigning access permissions to them;
Projects – this page allows managing project public channels. This item is available only if the Projects+ application is activated;
Archive – this page allows managing archived public channels.
The Common Public Channels page (fig. 2) displays the list of the public channels of this group. To open a channel page click its name.

To create a public channel, click the Create button, in the toolbar of the page. To learn more, see the respective Help section.
