The Start Process portlet (fig. 1) displays all the processes that can be started (initiated) by the current user. Permissions to start the process can be set in the Designer when modeling a process, and defining a swimlane, that will contain the start event.
To start a process, you need to click on one of the processes displayed in the portlet.
Start Process portlet allows viewing a process map. To do this click the Map link next to the process name. The process map will open in a new browser tab.

The header of the portlet shows its name that can be changed in portlet settings. It also contains the following buttons to manage the portlet:
- the portlet is expanded. Clicking this button will collapse it.
- the portlet is collapsed. Clicking this button will expand it.
