Plug-Ins

A plug-in is an independently compiled program module, which is connected to the main computer program to add specific features. ELMA BPM Platform provides tools for creating plug-ins, which are used as activities in the graphic model. The existing plug-ins are located in the Plug-Ins section of the graphic model side panel.

In ELMA, all plug-ins can be divided into two groups:

plug-ins that cannot be modified;
plug-ins that can be modified on the Scripts tab in ELMA Designer.

The first group contains the following activities (Fig. 1):

Objects, the Creating and editing an object item activity.
Documents, the "Generate Document Version" activity, which creates a printable document by a template, using the process context.
Projects+, the "Project Complex Task" activity. It is available in the ELMA Projects+ application.
Process Instance Statuses, the "Change Process Instance Status" activity.

You can find each of these activities in the "Plug-Ins" section of the side panel.

Activities in the second group are located in the Custom Activities section. It contains elements that cannot be modified. To manage the contents of this section, go to the "Scripts" tab of ELMA Designer. Custom Activities available in ELMA depend on whether you have purchased respective applications or not. When you purchase and activate ELMA CRM+ application, the CRM Expert section appears in ELMA Designer, providing elements for customer relationship management. When you purchase and activate the Projects+ application, the Projects+ section becomes available, offering elements for project management.
