ELMA system accounts do not have to be protected with passwords, but we strongly recommend using passwords for security reasons.
A user can change their password in the profile settings, if the account was created in ELMA. If the user account was Imported from LDAP, neither the user nor the system administrator can change the password.
The system administrator can change any user's password in their profile.
To change an account password, click Change password in the user profile (fig. 1).
Enter the new password in the opened dialog box (fig. 2).

Note, that the system administrator can set up the minimum password length and complexity requirements in Administration – System – Security Settings, Password security for built-in accounts.If the entered password does not meet the requirements, the corresponding warning will be shown (fig. 3 – fig. 4).
