Common Calendars


Common calendar – is a calendar, whose events are available for viewing and editing to all the system users with the respective access permissions.
The system administrator creates common calendars and configures access to them in Administration – Basic Applications – Common Calendars .
The number of common calendars is not limited.

Viewing a Common Calendar

To view a common calendar in the Calendar section, click the Calendars buttons (fig. 1).

Select the required calendar in the drop-down list and click View (fig. 2).

The page will display the selected calendar (fig. 3).

Creating an event in a common calendar

Creating an event in a common calendar is the same as creating an event in a user calendar. To learn more about creating an event, see the respective Help section.
The only difference is that the users, who have the access permissions to create events in common calendars, can use the Common calendars button on the event creation page (fig. 4, unit 1).

When you click this button, the page displays the Calendars field (fig. 4, unit 2), which contains the common calendars, available to the user. If you create an event from a common calendar page, this calendar will be selected by default in the Calendars field. To select a calendar, check its box.
When active, the button is dark-yellow.

Connect external calendars to a common calendar

You can connect external internet calendars to a common calendar. Events from external calendars are marked with the icon. To learn more about connecting external internet calendars, see the respective Help section.
