Object Name Property

Object name property – is a field, whose value is the name of an entire object instance. This property's value does not have to be unique, i.e. you can create several entries with the same name.
For example, the "Task Category" object has the "Name" property, which is selected as the name property. In this case, all the instances, added to the Task Category object, will be displayed in the drop down list (fig. 1) of the Category field on the task creation form.

The selected value will be displayed in Web Application on the task page as a link. When you click it, a pop-up window (fig. 2) with information appears.

The icon is displayed to the left of the name property on the Property tab of the object page in ELMA Designer (fig. 3). In ELMA, each object can have only one name property.
