You can open the document search page in different ways:
from the main page menu, by clicking Documents – Documents Search (Fig. 1);

by selecting Document Search from the Documents section in the left menu ;

in any directory of the Documents section. In this case, documents will be search not among all the document in the system, but within the current folder .
To quick search, enter a word or a part of a phrase that can be contained in all the string fields marked with Participates in Quick search, and click or press the Enter key. Under the search string (Fig. 3) you will see a table with the list of found documents. Table type can be configured.

Full text search
To use the full text search, go to the Documents section and enter a word or a part of a phrase that can be contained either in the document name or content. Click or press Enter.
Under the search string (Fig. 4) you will see a table with found documents. Both exact match and partial match are colored dark-yellow. The table shows 10 results per page by default .
To use the advanced search, click Advanced search on the quick search bar. On the opened page (Fig. 5), fill in the required fields and click Find Documents.

Parent Folder – select a folder in which you want to perform the search.
Search in all folders (including "My Documents") – search among all the files in the document storage. This option is selected by default.
Search in subfolders – searches in all folders, including subfolder.
Document Attributespanel:
Document type – choose one or several document types from the dropdown list. Depending on the document type, you can add more fields to the search form.
Include encrypted documents in search results - select if you want encrypted documents to be included in your search or not
Name – type the name of the searched document.
Author - ELMA user that created the document. You can select one or several document authors.
Date created - date and/or time when the document was created. You can specify the period or exact time. Also, you can search by relative dates.
Date modified - date and/or time when the document was last modified. This field is similar to the Date created field.
Modified by - ELMA user that modified the document. You can select one or several users.
In Archive:
Yes - the search is performed only amongst the archived documents. Links to such documents will have the [Archive] mark in the name.
No - archived documents will not be included in search.
Reply required – you can search for documents that have the "Reply required" option enabled in their document type.
Yes - search for documents with the Response Document field empty
No - search for documents with the Response Document field filled in.
Lifecycle stage - select the lifecycle stage of the document you are searching for.
If you have the ELMA ECM+ application activated, will have additional search parameters available.
