In some sections of ELMA, you can select elements (fig. 1).

There are four ways to select an element.
1. Enter a part of the element name in the field for selecting an element. This function is active if quick search is enabled in the object name settings. The drop-down list will display all the found matches. Select the required element from the list.
2. Click in the element selection field, and select the required element from the drop-down list. Drop-down list elements – are the elements of the respective object, sorted by name. If an object contains many instances, the list will display up to one hundred of them. If this amount is insufficient, use quick search in this field.
3. Click , to the right of the field for selecting an element. A window will open, which contains the list of all the available elements and the quick search feature. Select an element from the list or use the search form. If it is possible to select several elements, check the boxes of the required ones (fig. 2).

4. If the system does not contain the required element, you can create a new one. Click to the right of the field for selecting elements. In the opened window, select the object type and click Create. Fill in the opened form for creating an element. The new element will be automatically added to the field for selecting elements. Only the users, who have permissions to create elements can use this feature. Permissions for specific objects are assigned in Administration – Users – Access Settings.
