Editing Business Processes

ELMA BPM Platform allows you to edit a process that has already been created. You can model a process or a sub-process, both published and not. Either way, it is the process draft that you edit. Any introduced changes do not affect the published version currently used in Web Application. This feature allows you to improve your business processes without stopping the work.
Editing a process means modifying its model.
There are two ways to open a process for modeling from the process list (Fig. 1):
  • double-click on its name in the list;
  • select the required process with the mouse pointer and then click Edit in the toolbar;
  • click Edit Process in the context menu of the process list.

The process page will open, allowing you to model the process.
You can open a sub-process (internal or external) for editing from the graphic model of the parent process. There are two ways to do it:
  • Open the sub-process settings and click Define Process (Fig. 2).
  • Double-click on the name of the sub-process in the Sub-Processes section of the side panel (Fig. 3).
