Managing Time Reports


All the actions with a time report are shown on its page, on the history panel.
Clicking the Actions button or the icon opens a drop-down menu that offers different options depending on the user role.

Reassign the report to another approver

You can reassign a time report with the "Pending Approval" status to another approver. Reassigning is available to the author and their superiors (according to the organizational structure of the company), as well as to the approver and an ELMA administrator.
To change the approver click Actions – Reassign in the toolbar of the time report page. You can select a new approver in the pop-up (Fig. 2).

You can also add a comment in this window. To save the changes, click Reassign.

Add a comment to a time report

Users can add comments to time reports. To add a comment click Actions – Add Comment in the toolbar of the time report page. In the appeared dialog box enter your comments. To save the changes you made, click Add Comment.
Note that you can add a comment to a time report, which is already approved or rejected.

Ask a question about the report

ELMA users can add questions to time reports. To ask a question select Actions – Ask Question in the toolbar of the time report page. In the opened dialog box, select the user you want to ask the question in the To * field. Then enter the text in the Description * field (Fig. 3). Both fields are required.

You can also attach a file in this dialog box.
Show to All option:
 
Yes – the question will be seen by the users who have permissions to view this report.
 
No – it will only be seen by the user, who asked the question and the user, to whom this question was addressed.
To save all the changes click Ask Question.
Note that you can ask a question about a time report, which is already approved or rejected.

Delete the time report

Time report items with the "Pending Approval" status can be deleted. The author and their superiors (according to the organizational structure of the company) can delete time report items, as well as the approver and an ELMA administrator.
To delete an item click Actions – Delete in the toolbar of the time report page. Click Yes to confirm the deletion of the selected time report item.
You can delete time report items by selecting the following filter groups of the Reports subsection: All, Mine, Mine (Pending Approval), My Department . Click to the right of the selected items.
