Selecting Objects

In some sections of ELMA, you can select objects to assign access permissions (fig. 1), for example, when setting permissions to system sections and objects or processes.

Select one of the options for assigning permissions:

Organizational Structure Element

Check the required organizational structure elements (fig. 2).

For convenience, there are the following buttons:

– collapse all;
– expand all.

By default, these buttons are hidden. They are displayed when you mouse over the upper right corner.

You can use an organizational structure element to assign permissions to a group of employees, who work in the same department or job position. Therefore, you do not need to configure permissions again, when a user is moved to another job position or department.

Once you've selected the required elements, click Select.

Group

This section displays all the user groups in the system. Check the boxes next to the required user groups (fig. 3).

After selecting elements, click Select.

User

Select the required users (fig. 4).

After selecting elements, click Select.

Author

Access permissions will be granted to the object author.

Project Roles

This section is displayed only if the Projects+ application is activated and the user has respective access permissions. Select the required project from the list.

Responsible

This section is displayed when working with CRM objects, to which a responsible user can be assigned. When selecting this option, the access permissions will be assigned to the user responsible for the object.

Assigning access permissions to processes

You can also select objects to assign permissions in Administration – Business Processes – Processes (fig. 5).

On this form, select one of the available options. Some elements (organizational structure element, group, user) are similar to the elements described above. The new elements are:

Current executor;
Current executor's superiors;
process participant roles.

Current executor

If you select this option, the access permissions will be assigned to the executor of the current task (the process participant assigned to the swimlane).

Current executor superiors

If you select this option, the access permissions will be assigned to all the current executor's superiors, according to the organizational structure.

Process participant roles

These roles include:

initiator;
supervisor;
process instance participant;
process owner;
responsible for instance.
