Create Public Channel


To create a public channel, click Save on the page of the required public channels group (fig. 1).

Fill in the required fields on the opened page (fig. 2) and click Save.

Name * – the public channel name. This field is required.
Open Channel:
 
Yes – open channel, available to all the system users. Any user can subscribe to this channel.
 
No – only the users, with respective permissions will be able to view this channel.
Commented:
 
Yes – messages of this public channel can be commented.
 
No – messages of this public channel cannot be commented.
Active:
 
Yes – active public channel, in the Common Public Channels group. You can view, create and comment messages in this channel.
 
No – inactive public channel. Users can only view its messages (cannot create and comment messages). This channel is in the Common Public Channels group.
Archive:
 
Yes – inactive public channel in the Archive. Users can only view its messages.
 
No – active information channel in the Common Public Channels group. Users can view, create and comment messages in this channel.
Forbid to manage channel subscription:
 
Yes – forbid managing subscription to this public channel.
 
No – managing subscription to this public channel is allowed.
Importance – priority level of the public channel messages.
Description – description of the public channel.
