Data Types

ELMA uses a unified data system. Data Type is a property of a set of data, which determines the range of the data's possible values, list of possible operations and the storage method.

The data types are selected in the type tree in ELMA Designer, when creating:

Process context variables;
Object properties;
Document attributes;
Record Card attributes;
Project attributes;
Report parameters.

In the type tree, the types are sorted by groups (Fig. 1):

Simple
Platform Objects
All Objects
Projects
Record Cards
Documents
Enumerations
System

To open a group of types, click the

icon or the name of the desired group. If you click the

icon (located to the left of the expanded group) or on the expanded group's name, the list of data types for the selected groups will be hidden.

Attention!

Once an object is created and published, you cannot change its type of data.
