Drop Down List


The Drop Down List type is used for selecting one of the values. The set of values is configured in the variable settings.
The set of values is defined in a process or an object. If you need to use the same set of values in several objects or processes, we recommend that you use Enumerations. If you also need to be able to add or change the values of this set in Web Application, we recommend that you use an "Object" type property.
In Web Application, a Drop Down List field looks as shown in Fig. 1-3.

When you select Drop Down List in the Type * field, additional fields appear on the Common and Advanced tabs apart from the basic fields.

Fig. 4 shows the additional fields that appear if the Drop Down List type is selected on the Common tab.

List elements – enter the drop down list values. Each item should be in a separate line. Empty lines are ignored.
Select from list only – when this box is checked, you can select a value only from the drop down list. When the box is not checked, you can enter the required value in the field.
Display Mode – select how the list items will be displayed in Web Application. The following modes are available:
Default Value – select one of the List elements values as the default value. The selected value will be automatically added to this field in Web Application.
