Document Versions


Document version is a system object that contains the version file, its additional information and status information.
You can work with document versions on the Versions tab of the document page. The number of the document versions is to the right of the tab name.
Fig. 1 illustrates the Versions tab.

This tab contains:
  • the Add Version button, which opens the Create a new version dialog box;
  • the table with all the document versions. This table can be configured.
Each document version has its status. The statuses have color highlighting in the table. To learn more about the document statuses, see the respective Help section.

Document Version Context Menu

To the left of each document version is the context menu button (fig. 2, 3).

The context menu contains actions, which can be applied to the current document version:
Export – lock the current version and save it to the user computer. After you have clicked this button, the current version's status changes to "Locked".
Locklock the current document version.
Change Versionedit the current version in the standard system editor.
Change Status – change the status of the current version.
ELMA Agent – document actions, available via ELMA Agent. This button is not available for web documents.
  • Lock and Changelock the current document version and edit it in the standard system editor.
  • Editedit the current document version in the standard system editor.
  • Add Version – edit the current version in the standard system editor and create a new document version after saving the changes.
  • Comparecompare several document versions.
