You can configure the main parameters of the Tasks module in Administration - System - System Settings or Administration - Basic Applications - Tasks - Tasks Settings, Tasks Settings unit (fig. 1).

Default Control Type. The option, selected in this field will be used by default in the Completion Check field, when creating a task (fig. 3).

Control types:
Task Monitoring - monitor the task execution progress. Such tasks are displayed in the Task Monitoring section.
Completion Check - control the task execution result. Such tasks are displayed in the Completion Check section.
Notify when Completed - the user, selected in the Completion Check field will receive a notification, that the task is completed. By default, the task author receives the notification.
Allow users to change task control options
Yes - when creating a task, you can edit the Completion Check field (fig. 3);
No - when creating a task, you cannot edit the Completion Check field (fig. 4).

Allow users to personalize task control options
Yes - when editing a user profile, the Task Control unit is available on the Tasks tab (fig. 5), where users can configure tasks control settings.
No - users cannot change the system settings of task control.

Allow co-executors to complete the task
Yes – co-executors can complete the task. The toolbar of the task page will contain the buttons Completed, Start Execution, Cannot Execute, Actions;
No – co-executors cannot complete the task. The toolbar of the task page will contain the Actions button.
Go to the parent task when the sub-task is completed
Yes – after completing a sub-task, its parent task form will open. The parent task executor must be the author, controller or executor of the sub-task. Otherwise, the parent task form will not open;
No – sub-task execution does not affect the parent task.
Allow to assign tasks not only to subordinates
This function allows considering the company's organizational structure when assigning tasks to executors.
There are three options:
Allow - the organizational structure is not considered, when assigning tasks. You can assign tasks to any employees.
Allow, but Warn - when assigning a task to employees, who are not your immediate superior, subordinates or same rank colleagues, the system generates a warning (fig. 6). Click Yes to assign the task to the selected users.
Forbid - forbid assigning tasks to employees, who are not you immediate superior, subordinates or same rank colleagues. When you attempt to assign a task to those users, a forbid message will be shown (fig. 7). This setting affects only user tasks.
