Transitions Tab

On the transitions tab you can view all the outgoing task transitions. The tab becomes available if the task has at least one outgoing transition.

If you are using the Conditional Operation marker, the Default column will appear on the Transitions tab (fig. 2). Here you can specify the transition that you want the process flow to take in case neither of the transitions’ conditions are met. We recommend putting the default transition at the end of the list.

Do not validate – this column shows if the system must check if the transition’s conditions are met. The default value is No.  In this case, the system checks if the task has any conditions such as filling in context variables or required fields. If you set this option to Yes, the system will not check the conditions.

In the Transition Name field, you can enter a new transition name. It will be displayed on the transition button. By clicking on this button in Web Application the user activates the respective process step (fig. 6). The same name will be shown on the graphic model, above the connector that links the current task and the following.
You can change the color of the transition button by selecting a respective color from the drop-down list in the Transition Button Color field:

If you select the Confirm action checkbox, in Web Application users will have to confirm their decision to proceed to the next task (fig. 4). A user has two options:
Yes - Complete the current task and proceed to the next process step;
No - Do not proceed to the next process step and return to the current task.
If you do not select the Confirm Action checkbox, the system will continue executing the process without a user confirmation.
The Text of Confirmation field shows the text a user will see in the Confirm Action dialog box. If this field is left empty, the confirmation window will only feature the Yes and Cancel buttons.

The The text is generated from template option allows you to use a template for creating the text. It can be plain text, values of context variables or parameters of the current process instance. When you select this option, the additional Insert Variable button appears (fig. 5). You can read more about templates in the corresponding Help article.

If you check Do not validate required field, then the Do not validate option on the Transitions tab (fig. 1) will be set to Yes. This means that the system will not check if the task has any conditions to be met.
