Deleting and Restoring a Process

The ELMA BPM platform prevents you from deleting processes completely, as it may damage the system logic. When you delete a process, its name is removed from the Process List in the Designer and the list of available processes in Web Application; all the active process instances are executed until completed.
All the internal sub-process are deleted with the parent process. If necessary, you can restore the deleted processes and external sub-processes. If the deleted process includes internal sub-process, you can recover them as well; however, you cannot restore an internal sub-process if it has been deleted independently from its parent process.
There are two methods to delete a process from the process list in the Designer:
Fig. 1. The Delete button on the toolbar and the Delete item in the context menu.
The Delete button and the context menu item will also be available when you bulk-select elements from the list of processes. When you click on this button or context menu item, all chosen elements will be deleted from the list.

Restoring a Process

To restore a process in ELMA Designer, open the Publishing tab, click Go to Processes, open the Deleted tab. This tab contains the list of deleted processes and their internal sub-processes. When you select a process in the list, all the process versions appear at the bottom of the window. All the previous process versions are restored along with the process.
There are two ways to restore a process:

Click Restore; in the opened dialog box (fig.3), specify the process name and select the process group. Click OK to restore the process with the specified parameters.
