Portlets can be customized, and therefore are useful for organizing a workplace. The required portlets are added to the main pages by users or the administrator. Thus, users have quick access to all the necessary information, can start processes, view current tasks, outgoing tasks and so on.
You can change the set of portlets and their location in the page settings, and select what information to display in the portlet settings. Portlets can be informational or contain quick access links to the frequently used actions and processes.
For example, a department head needs to monitor the department's tasks, see upcoming calendar events and view the Messages. Therefore, the department head's page should contain the respective portlets, providing quick access to this information. Fig. 1 features an example of a department head's main page.
