1. Open the document page in ELMA Web Application.
2. Click Actions in the top menu and select Register (fig. 1).

If this document has registration options, a window for selecting an option will open (fig. 2). In this window you have to select the required registration option or select arbitrary registration parameters by clicking the respective link.
If the document you want to register has only one set of parameters (e.g. the document type can be registered in only one category or only one record card is configured for it), then these parameters will be automatically displayed, and you will only have to click Next.
If no registration options have been created for this document type, then the parameters selection page will be similar to registering an arbitrary document.
3. If several record card types were found for the selected registration parameters, then you will have to select one of them from the drop down list.
4. After that, the document registration page will open (fig. 4).

The document registration page includes the following tabs:
1. Common - document registration form. On this tab you have to:
Enter the document registration number unless the auto numeration is configured.
Also, you can use a reserved number. To do so, check the Use Reserved Number box.
Change the registration date, if necessary. The current date is used by default.
At the bottom of this tab is the document page (fig. 5).

To edit the document, click , make the changes and click Save.
2. Records Classification Scheme. This tab displays the document registration parameters in the current records classification scheme of the company: docflow, document type, registration office and category (fig. 6).

To complete registration, click Register.
To postpone registration and save the data you have specified in the record card, click Register - Save Draft (fig. 7).

After you click Save Draft, a record card draft will be created. All the record card drafts are stored in the Drafts folder of the Records Managements folder. Later you will be able to open the draft and finish the registration.
The document registration form may have additional fields if they are configured in the record card of this document type.

Registering an existing document in a routing process
When using document registration in a routing process, the user selected as the executor of the Register Document task will receive a document registration task. This task is similar to the one created when sending a document for registration but the process task has two additional buttons in the top menu:
Open the process map in a new tab. This button is available to the users who have permissions assigned in View Tasks List.
Create a process improvement proposal. This button is available to the users who have permissions to improve business processes.
