Encryption Settings

Encryption – is a means of information protection. ELMA allows encrypting documents with a password.
Document encryption provides:
  • information inaccessibility to the third parties;
  • information integrity;
To enable encryption:
  • check the Encrypting box on the Additional tab of the document type page in ELMA Designer (fig. 1);

  • after that, the Encrypt column will be added to the Attributes tab. Check the boxes of the attributes, which need to be encrypted (fig. 2). These attributes will be hidden in all the data tables in ELMA Web Application. You can select only those attributes, which can be encrypted by the system, e.g. user attributes of simple types, and attributes of the object type.
