The Approval by stages activities (Figure 1) allow you to divide the approval process into several stages. The document will be approved by different groups of employees taking into account their professional activity.
Adjust approval route. This activity allows you to specify the route while the process in being executed in the web application.
New approval stage. This activity allows you to create a new stage of approval: the document will be approved in parallel and / or in series, the approval stages are independent form each other. After the process is started in the web application, a separate approval task is created for each participant of the document approval process.

The process may include several approval activities. To connect corresponding approval activities, you should use labels. For example, using a label, you can connect the New approval stage activity with the New Approval Sheet activity,
A label it is a marker used to align the New approval stage activity with the activity that specify the executors of the approval task (New Approval Sheet or Send for Approval). The label settings are available in the New approval stage settings window.
