In ELMA, there certain typical operations for document management. During such operations you can edit the document, and the changes you make will be available to all the users with access to view the document.
Acquaintance. This operation allows sending a document for acquaintance to any user/users. A document acquaintance task is created in the system.
Approval. This operation allows sending a document for approval to any user/users. They can either approve or reject it. During this operation, a document approval task is created in the system.
Discussion. This operation allows sending a document for discussion to any user/users or to a public channel, where users can comment. A message is created in the system visible to all the users selected as recipients. All the comments are displayed in the messages section and stored in the document history.
Attach to Task. This operation allows creating a user task with an attached document.
The typical operation are available in the drop down menu of the Send button on the document page (fig. 1). You can use these operations in business processes (routing processes) that include corresponding activities.
