Document Approval by Stages

When you send a document for approval by stages, a new approval sheet is created (similarly to the standard approval). The created sheet will display all the users to whom the document was sent for approval as well as the approval results by stages (pending approval/approved/rejected/cancelled).
A document approval task at the first stage looks like this (fig. 1).

The approval type (serial or parallel) is defined in ELMA Designer on the respective tab. On the same tab you need to select an action in case one of the approvers rejects the document. For more information, read this article.
Apart from a data table, the approval sheet displays the stage number and name.
Further actions with the document are similar to the actions when sending a document for approval.
At the second stage, the document will look like this (fig. 2).

At the second and following stages, the Approval sheet unit provides information on the previous approval stages.
You can also find the information on all the approval stages on the Approval tab of the document page.

You can generate an approval sheet on the document page. In case of Approval by Stages, the sheet generation window will feature an additional checkbox Show approval stages (fig. 4). If you check this box, the exported approval sheet will include all the approval stages (fig. 5).
