Document type is an object with a set of attributes (fields) which describe the document. Examples of document types: contract, mail, business proposal.
Each document created in ELMA is of a particular document type.
The following are the system document types in ELMA: web document, file, and the document types included in additional applications, such as Contract Management. Other document types are created by the system administrator in ELMA Designer.
You can manage document types in ELMA Designer, Document Management tab (fig. 1).

For convenience, you can group all the document types in folders. The folder tree is displayed in the left panel (fig. 2). Working with the document types tree is similar to working with the system objects tree.
