Execute and Control Decision Based Tasks

This activity is used to execute and control decision based tasks. When the process arrives at such an activity, a new decision based task is created in the Web Application and assigned to a corresponding user. The user, selected as the controller, receives completion check tasks for each of the decision based tasks.

Active decision based tasks as well decision based tasks with the following statuses Completed. Completion check required and Cannot be completed. Completion check required are displayed:

on the process instance page > on the tab Active Tasks, Operations, Sub-processes;
on the process instance page > on the tab My Tasks;
on the process monitor page > in the data table> on the Tasks tab.

It should be noted that the completion of this activity does not depend on the execution status of subtasks created for the decision based tasks, i.e. to continue the process, it is just necessary to complete and control all the created decision based tasks (it is not necessary to complete subtasks).

Settings of the Execute and Control Decision Based Tasks activity

To configure this activity, double click on it on the process graphic model (fig. 1). The page of this activity will open, which consists of the following tabs (fig. 2).

Common. This tab is similar to the Common tab of the Make Decision activity.
Documents. This tab is similar to the Documents tab of the Send for Approval activity.

How to use the Execute and Control Decision Based Tasks activity:

you should place this activity in a business role swimlane;
before this activity, place either the Make Decision or Create Decision Based Tasks activity, in which the decision based tasks were created.
