Creating a contract
The forms for creating a document, the set and the order of fields may vary depending on the document type.
Example of a Contract creation form is shown in fig. 1.

The contract creation form includes the following fields:
Company's legal entity – select the company's legal entity, which enters the contract. You can manage the company's legal entities in the My Companies object. To search the required item, click. If you cannot find the required item, click to create a new one.
Contractor – select a contractor – a company you are making the contract with. You can manage contractors on the Contractors page of the CRM section.
No. – enter the contract number in this field.
Contract date – contract creation date.
Contract due date – the end of the contract term.
Contract subject – brief description of the contract subject.
Supplemental agreements, discrepancy reports, appendices, sign-off certificate – select the respective documents if there are any.
Contract stages unit – in this unit you can create, edit or delete contract stages. To learn more about contract stages, see this Help page.
The General information, Version, Additional units are similar to those on a document creation form. To learn more, see this Help page.
Adding a new signed contract version
The Contract Management application allows adding a new signed document version from the contract page for the following document types: Contract, Incoming contract, Outgoing contract. To do so:

in the opened dialog box (fig. 3) attach the required file from you computer, from a scanner or using a template by clicking Load File, Scan or Add template respectively. To save the changes, click Save.

the attached file will automatically become the current, signed contract version (fig. 4).

Closing a contract
Closing a contract means that the work under it is completed, which must be confirmed with an acceptance certificate. A closed contract is available only for viewing.
To close the contract:

click Close Contract in the toolbar of the contract page (fig. 5).

in the opened window select the acceptance certificate for closing the contract. To search the document, click. If you need to create a document, click(fig. 6).

If there are active contract stages, they will be closed based on the selected acceptance certificate.

to confirm closing the contract, click Close Contract. To cancel, click Cancel.
Opening a contract
If you need to continue working with a closed contract, you can reopen it. To do so, click Open Contract in the contract page toolbar (fig. 7).

The contract will become available for working with.
