Publishing document and record card types

To apply the changes you made to the document and record card types and make them available in Web Application, you have to:

Publishing a document or record card type

To save the changes you made to the document or record card type, click Save on the document or record card type page (fig. 1).

To publish a document or record card type, click Save - Publish on the document or record card type page (fig. 2).

You can also publish document and record card types on the Drafts tab of the Document Subsection in the Publishing section.
You have to restart the server on the Publishing tab of ELMA Designer (fig. 3). To do so, click Restart Server.

Server restart takes several minutes. During the restart, users cannot work in Web Application and some unsaved data may be lost.
Notify the system users, before restarting the server.

Document Management portlet

The Publishing tab of ELMA Designer includes the Document Management portlet (fig. 4), which displays information on the document management objects.

Objects changed – number of document management objects, which have been changed since the last publishing. These objects are not available in Web Application, since they are not published.
Drafts - number of changed, saved but not published objects.
Published - number of changed, saved and published objects.
Server restart is required - number of saved and published document management objects, which require server restart, so that they were available in Web Application.
Deleted – number of deleted objects.

Document Management section on the Publishing tab

There are two ways to open the Document Management section on the Publishing tab:
The Document Management section of the Publishing tab contains three tabs:
Drafts tab displays the list of saved but not published document and record card types (fig. 7).

On this tab you can publish document or record card types. To do so:

Published tab - this tab displays the list of all the published document and record card types (fig. 9).

Server restart is required tab displays the list of saved and published document and record card types, which require server restart (fig. 10).

System document and record card types are blue.
User document and record card types are black.
System document and record card types that have been changed are red.
Published and unchanged document and record card types have standard font.
Created, but not published document and record card types have italic font.
Published document and record card types with unpublished changes, have bold font.
To return to the main page of the Publishing tab, click Documents - General Information (fig. 10).
