Registering Documents
When you register a document, a record card and a registration number are created for it.
To be able to register documents in ELMA, the administrator has to:
create and configure the required record card types
in ELMA Designer. By default, there are four types in ELMA: Incoming, Outgoing, Internal and Contracts;
create, configure and publish the
records classification scheme
of the company in ELMA Web Application;
configure
records pages
in Web Application
To register a document, the user has to have the following permissions:
View/Load
access to the document
or higher.
View/Load
access to the Records Management section
or higher
Access to at least one document
registration office
.
Users with access to registering documents can use the following buttons:
Register
button in the
top menu of the main page
(fig. 1).

There are several ways to register a document in ELMA:
Register an existing document
on its page.
Create and
register a document on the Records Management page.
Create and register a document in the
top menu of the main page
.
When you register a document:
it gets a registration number;
the document's
record card
is created;
the
Record Card Attributes
section is added to the
General Information
tab of the
document page
;
the
Registered
section is added to the
General Information
tab of the
document page
.
a link to this document is added to the folder of the respective
docflow
and to the
Registration Log
in the
Records Management
section;
