Actions with SMART Tasks

Actions that can be performed with SMART Tasks in ELMA are partly the same as the actions with regular tasks. The difference is that SMART tasks have additional options. You can:

Setting completion rating

When you click Actions – Set Completion Rating on a SMART Task page (fig. 1), a dialog box will open where you need to enter the completion rating of the SMART Task and click the Set Completion Rating button (fig. 2)

You can set completion rating either by typing it in or by moving the slider left/right. In addition, when changing the completion rating of a SMART task, you can add a comment, attach files from your local computer, external storage as well as ELMA documents.
If it is impossible to execute a SMART task (the executor clicked the Cannot Execute button on the task page), its completion rating will automatically be set to 0%. Such a SMART task is deleted from rejected performance matrices, but it remains available in approved matrices. However, since the completion rating is 0, this task does not affect the performance coefficient.

Prolonging Tasks

You can prolong a completed and controlled SMART task for the next period (month) if it has not been completed.
A SMART task can be prolonged by its author, executor and controller.
A SMART task is considered completed and controlled if the executor and after that the controller clicked Completed.
In order to prolong a SMART task, click Actions – Prolong Task on the SMART task page (fig. 3).

In the dialog box that opens (fig. 4), you can add a comment, attach files from the local computer, external storage as well as ELMA documents, and check the Notify co-executors box. Then click Prolong for Next Period.

The system will create a copy of this SMART task, in which the next month will be selected as the period. This SMART task will be included in those performance matrices of the executor for the next period, which were created using the same templates as in the previous period.
