Milestone – a task, scheduled for a certain date and used for controlling a project on that date;
Sub-project – a task with deadlines, which includes a sub-tasks of different types;
Business Process Start task – a task, which starts a business process at some point of the project progress.
There are several ways to create a task of any type in the project plan:
on the project page click: Add – Project Task, Milestone, Sub-Project, Start Process, in the top menu (fig. 1). The Create Task button allows creating a project task, without adding it to the plan.

on the project plan editing page click: Project Task, Milestone, Sub-Project, Start Business Process, in the drop down menu of the icon, on the project plan toolbar (fig. 3).

On the opened page, fill in the required fields and click Create.
