ELMA provides the possibility to integrate the ELMA Projects+ application with business processes. Project processes are the processes, used when working with projects and for processing data of ELMA Projects+ objects.
When you model a project process for a particular project type, you need to be able to start it on the project page, when changing a project stage or use it as a process start task. For this purpose, you have to bind this process with the project.
Starting a process from the project page
To be able to use this feature, you have to select a Project type variable as the input variable in the process context (Context tab). You also have to add this process to the required project type on the Flows (Processes) tab.
To start working with the created process publish it. The page of the project, for which the process has been created, will display the Start Process button (fig. 1). Click this button to start the process on this project.
Changing a project stage often requires several operations to be performed. You can include these operations in a business process, which will start when changing a stage. In this case, the stage will not be changed, until all the required actions are executed.
This feature is available, if:
you have selected the Project Stage (Object), (Project) and Base Project Type (Object) as the input variable in the process context (Context tab);
you have bound the business process to the required transition between stages in the project Life Cycle;
the process model includes the "Change Project Stage" activity.
To learn more about starting a process when changing a project stage, see the respective Help section.
Start process task
You can configure a business process start at a particular project phase in the project plan (fig. 2). To do so, create a process start task in the project plan.
