Stage task – is a parent task without an executor, which is used for grouping sub-tasks. A stage task is completed, only when all its sub-tasks are completed. To complete a stage task, you have to check its completion. A stage task completion rating is based on the completion ratings of its sub-tasks, taking into account the parent task duration.
Stage tasks are displayed only in the project plan and have the icon (fig. 1).

Toolbar buttons
The set of toolbar buttons is similar to those of a project task. There is also an additional Configure notifications button and the Actions button does not allow Specifying expected due date and Setting completion rating.
Complete the stage task and all its active sub-tasks with the "Completed and checked" status. When you click this button, a warning appears (fig. 2).

Click Yes to confirm completing the stage task , or No to cancel this action.

When you create a sub-task for a project task, a dialog box opens (fig. 9), where you have to select, whether the parent task will be a stage task and will be closed after all its sub-tasks are completed.

You can make a task a stage task manually in the project plan, by clicking Transform to Stage Task (fig. 7) in the context menu of the required task. This feature is available, if the task has sub-tasks.

You can also make a stage task a regular task, by clicking Transform to Regular Task (fig. 8), in the context menu of the required task.

Completing a stage task
There are two ways to complete a stage task:
manually, by clicking Completed or Cannot Execute in the toolbar of the stage task page (a corresponding status will be assigned);
automatically, after completing all the sub-tasks. The stage task will acquire the Completed status, until all the sub-tasks are checked. After that, the Completed and Checked status will be set to the stage task. A corresponding notification will be displayed on the stage task page (fig. 9).
