Types of Project Plan Tasks

The project plan can include tasks of the following types:
1. Project task – a task, scheduled in the project. Such a task is displayed in the project plan. You can also create a standard user task, related to the project, but not displayed in the project plan. To learn more, see the respective Help section.
2. Milestone – a task, scheduled for a certain date and used to control the project status on that date. To learn more, see the respective Help section.
3.Sub-project – a task with limited duration, which includes a list of tasks of different types. To learn more about creating a sub-project, see the respective Help page.
4. Start Process Task – a task that starts a business process at a particular moment. To learn more, see the respective Help section.
5. Stage task – a task without an executor, used for grouping sub-tasks. To learn more, see the respective Help section.
An example of a task page is shown in fig. 1.

The set of toolbar buttons on the page depends on the task typeuser's role and access permissions. To learn more, see the pages on the respective task types.
