Name – connector name, displayed in the process graphic model, process documentation and process policies. This name is also given to the transition button in Web Application that allows the user to go to the respective process step. If the transition does not have a name, this button displays the name of the next activity.
The Do not validate required fields before submitting the task form option. When this options is enabled, users can submit the task form in Web Application leaving all the required fields empty. This feature allows a user to submit a task even if the required fields cannot be filled in.
Escalation means automatically quitting a process activity, either according to a timer, or when a script condition occurs. By default, escalation for transitions is disabled. Use the Edit button to select the escalation type (Fig. 2, 3):
Absent – User can quit the task by clicking on a respective button in Web Application;
Timer – User quits the task when the timer triggers;
Exception Handling – If a script crushes because of an error, a notification is sent to selected users. This escalation type is available only for outgoing script connectors;
Script – Quitting the task depends on the result returned by the script;

How the connector is depicted (Fig. 4-7) depends on the Common tab settings.

Advanced tab
The Advanced tab is available only for outgoing connectors from user tasks and gateways. You can select the color of the transition button, and set up the confirmation that users will see in Web Application.

You can change the color of the transition button by selecting a respective color from the drop-down list in the Transition Button Color field:

If you select the Confirm action checkbox, in Web Application the users will have to confirm their decision to proceed to the next task (Fig. 9). They have two options:
Yes – Complete the current task and proceed to the next process step;
Cancel – Do not proceed to the next process step and return to the current task.
If you do not select the Confirm Action checkbox, the system will continue to execute the process without a user confirmation.
The Text of Confirmation field shows the text that users will see in the Confirm Action dialog box. If this field is left blank, the confirmation window will feature the Yes and Cancel buttons.
