Creating Custom Activity


To create a custom activity, go to the Scripts tab of ELMA Designer.
Then click Add in the toolbar or select Create Custom Activity in the context menu of the list of custom activities (Fig. 1).

The Custom Activity Creation Wizard starts (Fig. 2).

Name - name of the custom activity in your language. It is shown in:
Attention!
You cannot change the custom activity name and the class name once the custom activity is created. If you want to create a similar activity with a different name and class name, use the copy function.
Folder - a folder or a group which stores the created custom activity in the list of custom activities, on the side panel of the Plug-Ins section of the process graphic model. To change a folder, click the button in the folder's field. If there is no appropriate folder in the list, you can create a new one. Click .
Additional Color - color of the shape's outline in the process diagram.
Main Color - color of the shape in the process diagram.
Class Name - a system variable used for the current custom activity. By default, this field shows a transliteration of the custom activity Name without non-alphabetic characters (such as spaces, punctuation and special characters) The CA_ name prefix is used to make the name unique.
Click Next to create the custom activity. Once created, the custom activity appears in the list of custom activities, in the Custom Activities section, Scripts tab of ELMA Designer. The created custom activity will not appear in the Plug-Ins section of the graphic model side panel until it is published. If you close the window or click Cancel, you will go back to the list of custom activities; no changes will be applied.
