User Guide


This Help section is intended for those users, who are not going to configure the system. The guide describes the main functions of the system from a user's prospective. To learn how to configure the system, see the Implementation Guide and the Administrator Guide. The user guide includes two subsections: ELMA Web Portal and Business Process Management.
The ELMA Web Portal section describes the capabilities of the corporate web portal of ELMA platform. The system allows organizing a shared information environment by providing messages and public channels, task control and execution, calendar for personal scheduling and shared calendars for company's events. You can also use customer management, document management, time reports and other features. You can configure a workspace for each user with the main pages and menu settings, and by using portlets.
Fig. 1 illustrates the main page of an HR manager with the "Tasks", "Company Employees" and "Calendar" portlets.

The Business Process Management section describes the business process features. Users may want to learn about starting processes, executing process tasks and monitoring processes. You can also find information on business process portlets and filters in this section.
