Configuring Deal Stages

To bind a process to a certain sales funnel stage:

create a new sales funnel in the Sales Funnel object or open an existing funnel for editing (fig. 1);

open the required stage for editing, by clicking ;
in the opened dialog box, select the required process in the Process field (fig. 2). This list displays only those processes, that have a Deal type input variable;

depending on the selected process, fill in the fields (fig. 3).

Context Variable of Deal's Initial Stage – select the process context variable, which will receive the initial deal stage.

Context Variable of Deal's New Stage – select the process context variable, which will receive the new deal stage.

These variables must be specified in the Change Deal Stage activity settings.

Instance Name - name of the instance, which will be used when starting the process.

After filling in all the required fields, click ОК.

All the stages are configured in that manner. After configuring all the required stages, save the sales funnel.
connect the sales funnel to a particular deal type in the Deal Type object. To do so, select the required funnel in the Sales Funnel field of a Deal Type instance (fig. 4).

The process starts automatically, when you change the deal stage.
