ELMA supports integration with the following Asterisk versions - Asterisk 10, Asterisk 11, Asterisk 12, Asterisk 13.
To configure the Asterisk server, you have to edit the configuration files. The main configuration files of the Asterisk server are sip.conf, extensions.conf and manager.conf.
The sip.conf file includes settings of all the SIP devices, registered on the server. These devices later interact with each other by connecting two or more SIP channels, which initiates a telephone connection. In this file, you have to configure the required SIP channels for each user. To learn more about configuring SIP channels, see the Asterisk system Help.
The manager.conf file includes a set of rules for connecting the Asterisk server with client applications. In this file you have to:
set a password for connecting with ELMA in the secret field;
assign permissions to users in the read and write fields.
To learn more about configuring the manager.conf file, see the Asterisk system Help.
In the extensions.conf file you can define processing and routing of all calls. In this file, you have to configure the logic of making calls. To learn more, see the Asterisk system Help.
To acquire the number and open the call page when receiving an incoming call, ELMA uses an AMI event (interface for starting external applications) Dial or Dialbegin, while the incoming number is in the Callerid field. If you select Bridge in the Event, which opens a call page field on the IP Telephony tab in the user profile settings, then ELMA will use the event of the same name, and the number will be in the CallerId1 field.
