Creating an Enumeration


To create an enumeration, click Add - Add Enumeration in the toolbar on the Objects tab of ELMA Designer (fig. 1).

Creating an enumeration includes two steps.
Step 1. At this step (fig. 2), you have to configure the enumeration general parameters.

Displayed Name * – enumeration name, displayed in the enumerations list in ELMA Designer and in Web Application. This field is required.
Group * group, the enumeration is in. Click to open the dialog box for creating a new enumeration group. Click to clear the Parent Group * field. Click to open the drop down list, which contains all the enumeration groups. This field is required.
Description – enumeration description.
"Data Structure" unit
Enumeration Name * – enumeration unique name, displayed in the enumerations list in ELMA Designer. It is filled in automatically when you fill in the Displayed Name * field. If necessary, you can fill in this field manually. This field is required.
Namespace * namespace, the enumeration belongs to. By default, all the user objects belong to the Configuration namespace, but you can select another one from the drop down list. To learn more about namespaces, see the respective Help section.
You can change the Enumeration Name * and Namespace * fields only for user enumerations before the first server restart.
Step 2. At this step (fig. 3), you can create enumeration values.

After filling in the required fields, click Next. An enumeration will be created and its page will open.
Attention!
To apply the changes, you have to publish the enumeration and restart the server.
