Global Settings of Business Process Policies

Within one company, policies of different processes are usually rather similar. In ELMA, you do not have to enter the same information every time you configure a business process, the common process policy settings are included in the global system settings. The policy settings of each process inherit these common settings. This way you only have to manage the settings that are specific to the current process.
Global settings of process policies are managed in ELMA Designer: go to MenuSettingsProcess Policy (Fig. 1).

Specification Templates
On the Specification Templates tab you can specify the files that you want to use as templates.
A Template is an .rtf or .docx file that features the general structure and the static text of the process policies. The dynamic part of the template is formed according to general rules. The template text uses such elements as {$VARIABLE_NAME}, which are automatically replaced with the values of the process context variables.
ELMA already includes the "System Template", which was made according to the best practices of business process management.

The Add button opens a blank template editing window. You can use it to add a template.
The View Template button opens the template file in MS Word, if it is installed on your computer. The Edit button opens the template editing window (Fig. 3). Here, you can change the name and description of the template and replace the template's file.
The Delete button allows you to delete the template from the list.
