Configuring Time Limit

Time limit is applied to the number of hours, which can be submitted in a time report on a certain occupation in the project. It means, that a user will not be able to submit more hours, than limited.
The system administrator can enable time report limit for projects on the project type page, Time Report tab. To edit the time limit, you have to have the access permissions. These permissions are assigned by the system administrator on the project type page, Permissions tab. To learn more about configuring a project type, see the respective Help section.

Adding a time limit

There are two ways to add a time limit on a project:
On the opened page (fig. 3), click Add Time Report Limit.

Fill in the required fields in the opened dialog box (fig. 4) and click Add.

Occupation * – select an Occupation object instance, for which the limit is set. If a time limit is not set for an occupation, time reports on this occupation will not be accepted in the project. This field is required.
Time Limit – number of hours and minutes for this occupation. If this field is not filled in, a time limit for this occupation will not be set.
To save changes, click Save in the top menu of the project time limit page (fig. 3). After saving the changes, the project page opens.

Viewing a time limit

To view a time limit, go to the project time limit page and click on the name of the required time limit. A dialog box with information on the time limit will open (fig. 5).

Exceeding the time limit

If an occupation time limit is used up, a notification will be shown in the time report table, when submitting a time report and this time report item will be highlighted red.
To extend the time limit, you have to edit it. To learn more, see the respective Help section.

Editing a time limit

To edit a time limit, go to the project time limit page and click . The opened dialog box is similar to the dialog box for creating a limit.
To save changes, click Save on the project time limit page (fig. 3). After saving changes, the current project page will open.

Deleting a time limit

To delete a time limit, go to the project time limit page and click . Confirm deleting in the opened dialog box.
To save the changes, click Save on the project time limit page (fig. 3). After saving changes, the current project page will open.
