Custom Activities

ELMA supports custom scripts. You can create them and use as activities in various processes.
A Custom Activity is a user script, stored in the activities section of ELMA Designer. This script has input and output settings, display settings and program code that specifies the script's behavior in a process flow.
Advantages of a custom activity compared to the "Script" activity
In case of the "Script" activity, you need to write program code specifically for each process where the activity is used. While custom activities can use the same code in any process in ELMA. Custom activities allow you to manage activities in the graphic interface without having to work with code. This way, you can save time when using popular business process scripts and make these scripts available to those people who do not have any programming skills.
To create a custom activity, go to the Scripts tab of ELMA Designer and open the Custom Activities section (Fig. 1).

To find the custom activities on the process page, open the Graphic Model tab and go to the Plug-Ins section of the side panel (Fig. 2). From there, you can add them to the graphic model.

In ELMA, the features of scripts are almost unlimited. Custom activities are only limited by the skills of the employee who configures the processes, and by the time required to implement all the needed functions.
In ELMA, you can create libraries of custom activities; and export / import these libraries to move them between installations.
