Fraction


The Fraction type is used for storing fraction values.
In Web Application, a Fraction field looks as shown in Fig. 1, which features an editing form of a property.

When you select Fraction in the Type * field, additional fields appear on the Common and Advanced tabs apart from the basic fields.
Common tab
Fig. 2 shows the additional fields that appear if the Fraction type is selected on the Common tab.

Can be empty – when this box is checked, the field can be empty. If you leave this field empty in Web Application, "Empty" will be displayed in this field (the variable will have the Null value). When this box is not checked, the field's default value is "0" (the variable will have the 0 value).
Default Value – select the value, which will be used by default in Web Application.
Advanced tab
Fig. 3 shows the additional fields that appear if the Fraction type is selected on the Advanced tab.

Accuracy – number of decimal places. Rounding is according to mathematical rules.
Minimum and maximum values – define the range, which limits the value of the field. When you enter a value, outside of the range, a notification is shown (fig. 4). The value will be automatically changed to the minimum or the maximum value (whichever is closer to the entered value).

When you check the Participates in Search (Filter), this tab displays the Value range in filter box (fig. 5).

When you check this box, the filter or advanced search form will display an additional field, where you can specify the range of fraction values.
