Tree of Types

When you create an object property, you have to specify the data type of the property. As the data type you can select a simple data type or a system object.

In the property creation form go to the Common tab. The Type * field has a drop-down list which shows the types that exist in the system. The tree of types is a hierarchical list of all the data types contained in the system: simple and system data types, and system and user objects.

In the tree of types, the

icon stands for an object, and the

icon stands for an enumeration.

For a user object to be included in the type tree, do the following: go to the page of the object, open the Advanced tab and check the Display in the tree of types box. The added user object will be displayed in the All Objects of the tree of types in a folder with the same name as the folder where the object itself is stored.
