"Column" Element

You can add other elements (tabs, panels, text and so on) and/or properties to the Column element. You can add a column to an empty form, panel, tab or another column (fig. 1). To learn more about adding this element to the form, see the respective Help section.
 
Note
For the form to display correctly, it is recommended that you add only one panel to the form and use it as a container for properties.

To add columns to the form in a row, add the first column to the required position and then attach the second column to the right or left border of the first column (fig. 2).

You can configure each of the columns. The settings dialog box includes the System (fig. 4), Additional (fig. 3) and Show tabs.

Additional tab

This tab (fig. 3) provides you with several options of how the content of the page will be loaded in Web Application. Each of the options has a description.
By default, these settings are inherited from the form settings. If necessary, you can choose different options from the ones in the form settings.

System tab

Element Name – element unique name, used in scripts. You can change this name.
UID – element UID; it is generated automatically, when you are creating the element.

Show tab

This tab is displayed in the settings dialog box of all elements and is similar to the tab, described in the general object properties settings.
Fig. 5 and 6 illustrate examples of the columns display on the editing form in ELMA Designer and Web Application.
