Creating Business Process Policies


To create business process policies based on the template, global settings and policy settings click the Policies button in the Export section of the process toolbar (Fig. 1).

Settings
Before the document is created, ELMA offers you to adjust how the process map is displayed in the document (Fig. 2). These settings do not alter the process model or the process execution in ELMA.

Usually, process policies show the operations, which are executed by employees of the company. In the Exclude Elements from Process Map section you can select the operations, which are performed by the system automatically and therefore do not need to be included in the policies. Examples of such operations are: Scripts, Send Message, Receive Message, and Notifications.
In the Process Map Orientation section you can choose the layout of the process map on the page.
The Paginating the Process Map section shows how many pages the process map requires. By default, it is scaled to fit one page.
After you have adjusted all the settings, click Create to create the document. The file will automatically open in MS Word, if it is installed on your computer. You can modify the document, if necessary, and print it out.
